How do you think we should deal with a pedophile?

I don't even know if the term pedophile is correct for the type of monster I am thinking of. Anyway, like most crusaders of this nature, I have my reasons for being so rabid when it comes to this type. Of course I was molested as a child by some random guy my parents called friend back in the 60's. He didn't have a place to sleep so they put him in our room in our (my sisters) bed and we had to sleep on the floor. Well before I knew what was going on there was this old drunken man trying to put his fingers between my little 8 year old legs. I was so horrified I couldn't even move. I felt sick with shame and fear so I moved and he jumped up into his bed and I jumped up and ran to the bathroom where I laid in the tub all night long. This continued for many years until I was about twelve and he finally stopped coming to our home. This ruined me for many years well into my adulthood. Weight gain, sexual promiscuity, fear of abandonment, pulling my hair(trichtillomania) and other assorted compulsions and phobias. I am darn lucky I didn't end up with a split personality! And this was just me. I shudder to think what my little sisters endured while I abandoned them by hiding in the bathroom. One sister remembers nothing and the others life was more or less as messed up as mine. I wish I wouldn't have been so afraid of my parents reactions then, I might have saved us all. Today I notice that everything I think and every action I take, all has a direct link to what I had been subjected to as a little girl.
Now I ask you once again...How do you think we should deal with a pedophile? I used to think they should be killed immediately. But the older I get, the more creative I have become. Today I think I would like to start with the removal of their hands. And not just by anyone. I think the family ought to be allowed to dole out this punishment. Ultimately I would like to see that all convicted pedophiles/molesters be given their sentence by the family they have destroyed. I wouldn't matter what it was, but they should have the ultimate say. What do you think?
